Basic principles have been embedded in various areas of our societal norms as laws. Many of our traditions and common values are not completely expressed in law but are an important part of what makes us Americans.  

This traditional concern has been expressed by using terms like “fairness” and “respect’ which seem to have disappeared from the actual practices in modern America. These terms have actually become terms of division, used by the elite with respect to everyday Americans.  These under used and, in many circles, almost meaningless terms, are the very definition of a successful and compassionate society. 

They are the baseline for judging the greatness of any nation, but some of our actual laws now serve to undermine these unwritten traditions. Among these are the at will employment laws in effect in our nation. Without exception these laws allow one class of Americans to threaten the lives, indeed the very survival of employees and their families without even the requirement of some reasonable explanation.

We think these laws must be modified to take into account the moral relationships Americans have traditionally recognized as normal between each other. It is our goal to change this and, in the process to bring back those traditional values of common respect and dignity we all used to share without regard to class or position.
